The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra in Partnership with Central Florida Lyric Opera

The SCSO is a lively and passionate Central Florida orchestra comprised of professional musicians and select youth players. The symphony performs in a very comfortable venue at the First Baptist Church in Merritt Island, with general admission tickets priced at just $10.  The SCSO is dedicated to challenging classical performance boundaries by offering fresh interpretations of the great masterworks as well as highlighting new and unusual compositions. The Orchestra was formed to provide mentoring and performance opportunities for the finest youth and college musicians. Through a unique  partnership with the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra, these young talents will be exposed to exceptionally challenging and rewarding repertoire, helping ensure a symphonic musical tradition for the enjoyment of future generations.  Secondly, the SCSO offers tickets at a very low cost, to encourage attendance by a broad cross section of the community. Many people have never seen a live professional orchestra, often because ticket prices are simply beyond their reach.
